FRANCINE DESJARDINS

Francine Desjardins is an experimental mixed-media artist who was born in Montreal. She is a member of the art community in Montreal, Quebec and Vancouver, BC.


She studied art at the Cegep du Vieux-Montreal, attended the Instituto de Bella Artes in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and The Emily Carr College of Art & Design in Vancouver, BC and has participated in many art workshops.


Desjardins’ work is rooted in her use of shape, texture and colour with an awareness of the impact of negative spaces, and the push and pull of lights and darks.


Francine Desjardins art is found in private collections in British Columbia, Quebec, and Ontario, Canada as well as in Costa Rica, Mexico and United States.
